i have one of them 240 volt weaco power adapter thingys. question is on the front there is a cigarete lighter socket and four screws with c+ c- /b+ b-.
i think bye looking on the bottom i can run the two c terminals straight to the compressor instead of the ciggy lighter bit and im pretty sure the b is for batery charger.thats my first question is it a battery charger?
next question relates to the weaco being permanently mounted on the camper.
i dont have a cigaret socket on the end of my cord to the weaco it is wired straight to a deep cycle battery.is it posible for me to mount the 240 volt adaper near the battery(its not in the engine bay its mounted next to the fridge)conect the b terminals on the 240 volt adapter straight to the batery so when i am near 240 volt i can plug the adapter in to 240 charge the batery and run the weaco of the battery?
thank you all you smart people.(im not racist)and all you not so smart people.lol

Didnt you get a book with the power supply?
if not, let me know and i will scan it for you to read. Dont forget it needs ventilation so make sure you have cool air flowing around it.
Just a quick rundown ok.....
B- B+ is the power supply FROM the battery.
C- C+ is the power supply TO the fridge.

From what i am reading in the book, you can hook the power supply straight to the battery without using the adapter. (I am assuming ur refering to a coverter here ok)
I hope this helps
Cheers Angelo

gday angelo.
thats the confusing bit why would you hook the fridge to a battery through a power supply??
on the bottom of the converter it says.
ac input(240 volt)
dc output 27v 6 amp 150 watt
dc batt input 12/24 vdc 12a/6a
dc bat output 12/24 vdc 12a/6a.
so i take that as 240 volt in 27 volt 6 amp out(ciggy lighter)
but the battery bit got me stuffed lol
cheers

That way it charges the pack when the car is running , and you use the battery pack when off.... Thats my thought

doesnt Waeco have an built in 240-12vdc power supply like my 'trailblazer' or the engels.

is it a stand alone unit? and if so why would you mount it in the car?
