Hi Ardo,
That road can be very rough depending on rain etc however if your camper is a good off roader you would be ok. I saw a number of off road caravans when I was on that road in July.

Hi Hardo
I towed a Jayco finch off road on that road back in 1980 and had no problems would expect it to be in much better condition these days we never saw anyone else on the track back in 1980

Towed '95 Jayco offroad swift in '97 no problems. Reduced tyre pressure by a quarter and drove prudently and dare I say skillfully. No breakages, no tyre damage -what more can you ask for?

Was there last year. Abosutely no problem with towing, just extremely bumpy, corrugated, with the occasional smoother section. Just watch out for some corners that can sneak up on you. I think it took us 4 hours to do the loop and get into kings canyon resort. I even saw some tourists in a two wheel drive sedan completing the loop, but i wonder how stuffed their suspension is now. We had a lot of internal damage to the landcruiser from things rattling arround and rubbing big scratch marks on the interior surfaces of car. Things like door skins etc.

Did it Sep this year with a camper trailer it was being graded no worries at all. Was roughest at the Kings Canyon end.

Conditions change significantly due to weather so check at Kings Canyon (Need to get permit from there anyway)

Will be dusty for the Dove

Hi Hardo,

Did ML late Oct this year.

Bit rough, dusty and corrugated but not too bad.

See no problem with camper if you take it easy.

You are s'posed to get a permit, what for I know not nor what the money is used for.
Happy 4 wheeling
