Where are you located? GPS Oz run regular GPS courses. I am off to one in
Newcastle (NSW) on Sunday next.

G"day Maurie,
I've finally jist got my system up and running with the help of several members of this
forum. Not that it's overly complicated but I am a Dinosaur with computers.
If you have a lap top, you only need a GPS and Ozziexplorer programme to run the moving maps system. My major problems were in the Lilleput screen but they are now sorted. Yahooo.
I know Andrew (Big Kidz) uses a base model Garmin to run his system. I use a Magellan Sports Trak but you don't need all the options that that one has to run it.

as
well as the good advice above, there is also a combined gps receiver and aerial for about $300 which can be attached to your laptop.
not forgetting you would need a cheap handheld gps if you wanted to go wandering around by foot.
gpsoz is the place, brians your man
