Hi
Can anyone recommend a good place to get my 80 series diesel Cruiser Dyno tuned in the Melb area.
I live in the West Subs but will travel for a good place.
TIA

AG Diesel in Clayton. They have a four wheel dyno.
Cheers

Tony,
Definately recommended. Chat to Oz. Just had my 80 series pump rebuilt after it developed the dreaded leak. Did all the valve shims as
well. Before and after dyno tuning, picked up heaps down low.
Make a list of things to ask before you get there (big end bearings, etc). He has no worries in spending time going through it all with you. i travelled from
Ascot Vale and he had it for about 3 days. Train to and from is a pain, but you can walk to the station.

Thanks Wazza.
I'm comming from Werribee and won't need to catch the train as SHMBO has her own car and is willing (under duress) to drive me.
Will give them a call and arrange things.

Anywhere where they have a Dyno Dynamics 4wd Dyno would be your best bet.
Call the manufacturers on 03 - 9739 - 5933 and ask them who they know in your area.

Naaaah, dyno dynamics have a very good reputation for hype and self promotion.
The workshop next door to me in Carrum Downs was in the market for a 4x4 dyno and did all the research and the best one available is a "dynamic test systems" dyno built by Alan Murphy formerly from Motec, which he had fitted about 2 weeks ago.
Many more features than dyno dynamics with better hardware and far better software. All screen info can be changed from inside the car, dual fans, one through radiator and one over the top of engine. Far better quality on drive rollers with better balancing as
well.
This really is one impressive dyno and this weekend they are trying to get a number of hot turbo 4x4 skylines in to give it a real tryout.
Regards Andrew.

I think the new dyno side of the business is going to be called "Dyno Connections"
On their old Vane dyno they had problems with some of the cars gettin traction on the dyno, with the new one some of the cars don't even need to be tied down they are so secure.
There's some great engine noises coming out of there some evenings now :-)
Regards Andrew.
