Maybe it's a throwback to the 1920s - could be an Art Gecko!

Ghekos make noises all night ... c$ap all over the walls .... Go get him Brockie!!
When I lived in Queensland I heard (urban myth??) about an overseas tourist who woke up the entire resort where he/she was staying, screaming. When help came he/she was pointing at a gheko on the wall. Seems he/she thought it was a baby crocodile.

i cant believe you posted this.
peter perfect has been trying for months and months to try to get rid of him with no luck at all.i believe if cats have 9 lives i wanna come back as a ghecko.
or a nissan(both cant be killed).
so i really think you should spend time worrying about more impotant things. i dont think the ghecko is going to die.
ps im just kidding
cheers
