There seems to be alot of info here on upcoming vehicles and was wondering if anyone has any idea about the diesel prado motor replacement. When due?

The rumour (and I stress rumour) is tha the new Diesel engine for the Prado arrives with the 2005 mid life facelift. So I guess that means about Oct-Nov 2005.
Unless sales drop of course....

Only slighly off topic I think.
Has anyone heard rumours about new engines for the Toyota Landcruisers? Specifically a 5.7L V8 petrol and a 5.7L V8 Twin Turbo Diesel.
I heard that they were being tested in Oz at the moment for release in 2006. Can ayone confirm or deny?

I believe the d4d for the prado is about 12 months behind the hilux introduction next year.
It will have to be good to be worth considering over the V6 though.

Yeah there is a new hi-tech wiz bang TD motor being brought out by toyota. It will be in the hiluxs in Thailand early next year and there is no fixed date for when it will be out in Oz however it will be in the prado before it is released in the hilux.
