Early planning stages.
Baz (NSW), not trying to steal your thunder but looking for interest in group making trip from Bris.
Looking at leaving a week earlier with the following itinerary.
Bris to
Sturt National park. Overnight
Thargomindah and two days in the
park.
Sturt to
Innamincka via
Cameron Corner. two days on the Cooper.
Cooper to
Birdsville via
Walkers crossing.
Any interest in making it group effort?
Regards

Michael.
Proposed date is 9th July.
Looks like SA, ACT, NSW & VIC are O/K for school holiday timing.

Mate it would be good if someone posted once a month to remind people about it so go for it Wim.
We are leaving early too going up to
Carnarvon then up and come in from the east too
Birdsville so let us know mate and we might be able to meet somewhere.
Baz.

Hi Wim,
Would love to go out there but it is outside the Qld school holidays (they are back at school on the 3rd or 4th) and I don't want to take my daughter out of school for a week in grade 12.
Is there a weekend that is in the school holidays for all the states?

From that it appears that Qld is more out of step than most of the others. Damn. It would be a great trip, just not on that date.

Wim,
We're pretty much definites as this stage, another friend from our club is going as
well, I have to work in with him to decide an itinery. I don't want to drive that far for a bbq and NOT do the
Birdsville ttrack, or something! Will keep you posted as to what we're up to... your itinery sounds interesting too!!

We're definites for the get together but at this stage it'll be a quick trip out and back from Brissie. Keep reminding us and we might be able to stretch our visit when it gets closer.
Leaving this weekend for 7 week break and thats stretching the budget already.
