John
I'm happy with my Patrol but would like to give the now worn out 4.2 petrol engine the boot. Was thinking of going the Chev 6.5 lt Diesel route. Would appreciate comments from anybody who may have experience with this particular conversion. Have read previous comments on insurance issues but feel they can be overcome with persistence (prerequisite anyway when dealing with insurance companies).
Thanks

Which insurance company? I'd like to get this mod done (properly) but the Aust National 4WD Council Insurance Scheme cannot insure vehicles with Chev engines anymore (except Chev vehicles) as their underwriters (CGU) have won't cover vehicles with a retrofitted Chev engine.
