Hi everyone, I'm new in this
forum, and I hope to get some help. I bought my first 4wd months ago, a Daihatsu Feroza wide track 1993, and i'm slowly replacing the worn stuff. I'm trying to upgrade the components with good quality aftermarket products, without getting too extreme. Now it's time to get new
suspension, and i thought about a lift kit of about 2 inch, to gain more ground clearance and to suit the new tyres, wich are bigger than the standard ones. After getting mad with all products and quotations I found on the market, I finally decided for Dobinsons leaves and torsion bars, and Rancho RS9000X adjustable shocks. The main reason for the shocks is cause the adjustability, since I think my truck is quite light, and I don't want a very harsh ride. Is there anybody who can confirm my choice, or give me a different advice before I move on and spend a lot of bucks..? :) Any kind of help will be really appreciated. Have a good day!
(goooosh, I already love my truck!!)

I owned a 94' Narrow track and my best mate currently owns a 1996 Wide track. You'll love your little truck. Cause they a mini trucks, tough as old boots, good on the road, clearence is a little low but your 2" will help dramatically, they are so light that anything bigger than your 2" lift you'll bounce over anyway! LOL.
My mate has the orig
suspension and it's knackered and is saving for the replacment, but even with the stuffed
suspension he follows me everywhere I go, sure a few bumps, knocks, bangs, scraaaaapes hee hee, a little water in the air box from time to time, but it just keeps on going on!. Legend 4bies.
What state are you in?
If in WA he has had some quotes from numerous
places and found WA suspensions in Ozi park to be pretty good ( I think that was the better, I confirm with him).
The mob he is going to use are going to custome make the new leaf springs and replace torsion bars and shocks.
The adjustable shock would be more of a wank factor than anything, I have factory adjustable shocks on the surf and although it does make a huge difference to the ride and I used it all the time when I first got it, I find now I can't be stuffed with it and I just leave it on hard. :-P

Can't complain about dobinson's product. I have used it in 2 of my cars, 2wd & 4wd. When my work buys at trade price, the dobinson's product is almost half the price of most of the competitors. At that price you would be mad not to. My work does the fit ups for dobinson's in the
Brisbane area. The TJM product is usually supplied by King Springs. No matter what lift kit you put it will be a rougher ride than standard, and I have found that the rear leaves sag after a while. It is not necessary to replace the front tortion bars, you can use originals and just wind them up. Depending on the age of the vehicle it may be necessary to replace them anyway as they do fatigue over time. Concerning Rancho shocks, I have a friend with a Hilux with them fitted and he loves them.
