Hi there,
I can't think of a better way to ask for help with this, because there's minimal money to fund searching for a location as it's a personal project. As if there ever is anyway...
I'm writing to ask if anyone knows of a location similar to the attached photograph, within a day's drive of
Perth? Flat and barren is my brief, preferably running North-South as opposed to East/West. But the main characteristics are a remote-looking, straight road surrounded by a barren, flat landscape. If you know of anything like it I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks,

Gunna be further than 3 hrs I think to find anythink but I've seen similar country out around Mukka (Mukinbuddin) also towards
Wubin out along the
rabbit proof fence. Or
Mullewa and beyond
Good luck with your hunt

You could try north of W10245 on the way to
Shark Bay. Once you start to leave the farming country it flattens out and the scrub changes. Around Kalgoorlie heading north to
Leonora or Northern part of the Central Wheatbelt area could also have what you want.

How long a strip of road?
There are a few rds sth of Gero and surrounds that may fit you location. Also there are some good possibilities in the wheatbelt
Bush type your looking for? Desert location? Low sandplain scrub? Bitumen or gravel?

Simon, would look at northern wheatbelt around Three Springs/
Morawa especially after harvest.

Wubin / Wongan hills is probably the best bet for that country closish to
Perth. Otherwise another hour onto Morowa and turn right, there is plenty of bugger all up that way. I can say that because my family runs a property near Morowa!!
I suggest you contact the
Wubin / Three Springs tourist bureau, send them your pic and they will be able to pinpoint a spot for you.
Cheers Pete
