4runner suspension lift

Why do you need a 5inch lift?

Can you get that much suspension lift on a Forerunner?

If you need to go that high then why not consider a 3in suspension lift and 2in body lift?

Then fit 33in tyres to go higher.

That seems to be common enough of a lift on the Forerunner/Surfs that I have seen.

Yeah a 5" Suspension lift is pretty huge for any 4by. I have my 1995 Surf at standard height and rarley bottom out, if I was to go higherit would only be 2" at most, there just is no need for what I do and I go reasonablly hard.

5" will cause insurance and licensing issues, not to mention a dent in your wallet.

But if you must go 5" I'd be looking at the body lift as an option.
There is a 4 runner owner on this site who is doing some mod's himself to get the 4 runner a little higher without stressing his CV's or cramping his down travel, he might have some comments regarding this.

As said before,go three inch's on susp. then 2inch's body lift.Ive got three lift on my 4 Runner and think its a good height now.Plus most insurance companies dont worry to much (so they say) at anything under four inch's lift.
Ive fitted ball joint spacers to ours which allow 2" lift on the torsion bars and 1" on the ball joint spacer.You then lower the diff 1"(dosnt effect ground clearance) to releive angle on CV shafts.Down the back,fit longer coils or coil spacers then longer shocks(80 series rear shocks bolt nearly straight on).Also found that going any higher you will need an ajustable lateral control rod as the diff will start moving to the right
