... as to why, when one leaves to do a BIG trip around OZ, it is referred to as the " Wallaby ".

Around here when things are broken/worn out they are referred to as "wallaby teds brother" as he is a kanga ROO called TED ;-)

Wouldn't have a clue as to why you would be called a wallaby........ but..Did you get your small engel, there are a few in the Melbourne trading post this week around the $400. Think you were looking for one the other day

No, I ended up with a little Waeco instead.

I dearly liked the Engel, because of the build quality, but couldn't justify the expense.
