Bought this book on Saturday and have started reading through it. It looks like another good publication to go with the Eastern goldfields book and
Holland track + woodlines. I have done a few of the treks previosly and can assure you they are worthwhile. Only thing was they didnt seem to do much beach driving along sandy bight and Yokingup bay both of which are incredible beach drives (the view from the top of mt arid and mt pasely are exceptional) although it sounded as if beach conditions were tough at the time of the recce. My last trip along the coast got me thinking that it wouldnt take much to join all
the beach drives from
alexander bay in the west all the way to Bellengers beach in the east which has access to the israilite bay track. This would make one of the finest coastal drives in Oz

Perhaps you should do the recce and post it here.

I travelled the full length of
Alexander bay as far as I could get to then back and down the east rock track (next beach) and along
the beach to tagon point which is again as far as I could get. The next beach is
Thomas river beach which can be taken all the way to mt arid. Old tracks which lead to
poison creek have been blocked off by calm. I have seen motorbike tracks which suggest the trip could be done but certainly not in my campervan

Cool!
Now all you need is a few pretty photos, the odd waypoint and you're ready to post it to the Treks Notes page. ;-)

Hmmm never thought of that I have plenty of pictures some of which I will post when my
membership comes through (sent off the money order Saturday) and I travel that area whenever I get enough time off to get to
the beach from kalgoorlie. so that sounds like a goer, any idea how it is done (if I actually had a look I would probably find out)

Once your
membership comes through, all the
tools will be available to make the post. If you still have trouble, you can always email/member message David or Michelle for some guidance.

Daveo,
Perhaps you could even think about leading the next EO WA trip. I think that we are due for another one soon. What does everyone else think!!! LOL
