I obtained almost 25 litres of Castol Dynamax 10w40 Fully Synthetic Oil from a friend who sold his 2002 TD Jackaroo, intending to use it in my Same vehicle. However, my mechanic reckons I need a 5w oil. I personally don't see the problem, but don't want to go against his recommendation. So here it is, I paid $125 for the lot, you can have it for $100 if you want it. Is in 5L containers, suitable for all european late model direct injection TD engines and all direct injection Jap TD engines (Says spefically Isuzu and Mitsubishi)

So all, consult your mechanics and let me know. I don't know what it normally costs but I'm sure it is a fair bit more than that. I'm in Marion area in Adelaide for your information.

Whilst i run 5w40 Mobil Delvac1 in my Jack, 10w40 is absolutely fine.

You'll find some dealers still use 15w40 when they service TD Jacks

I thought Jackaroo was made by Isuzu.

You thought right.

It's just that Dynamax is recommended for some Mitsubishi engines as well

Regarding the price of the oil normally, about $50 for 5L. That means I am offering $250 worth of oil for only $100. What a bargain!!!!

10w40 would be fine in your vehicle.
Phone Castrol on their toll free line.
Find another mechanic.

Dynamax 10W40 is fine in the TD3.0, though a 5W will flow faster.
