Hi guys,
Just visiting
Adelaide over the Christmas break, would like to know of any 4wd Parks close to
Adelaide similar to what we have in Queensland (the likes of Levuka, Black Duck Valley, Rover
Park, Landcruiser
Park etc) I am hoping to visit
Robe while there, just looking for other options with good
camping facilites (little lad has a heart condition) maybe a lake/river etc and of cousre some 4wdriving.
Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Tim from Brissy!!!!!

Used to live in
Adelaide but that was a while ago and I dont know of any. Within a few hours of
adelaide there is
Deep creek Conservation park which has a few very uninspiring 4wd sections to
the beach. It is however a great coastal drive accessing it following the coast from noarlunga.moana,
Rapid bay,
cape jervis, And the
park has campgrounds - certainly nothing remote but nice. Good fishing can be had at times along the coast such as
blowholes creek and at waitpinga on
the Loop back to
Adelaide via Victor Harbour

Nothing much close to
Adelaide unfortunately, if you are prepeard to drive to
Robe (3-4 hours) there are plenty of options closer. Ngarkat,
Goolwa and Coorong (fishing),
Morgan quarry for a bit of a play. A few spots along the Murray for a spot of fishing too, not much 4WDing. Yorhe Peninsula is couple of hours away, Pesty, Warren and Roachie can fill you in on what's there.
A mate of
mine has a dam on his property south of
Adelaide and you might be able to fish there.
