new speakers for my 80 series Crusier

G'day all,

Seeing I only get to drive the Cruiser on weekends or when we head into the bush I didn't realize until last week that the missus has been listening to her new Linkin Park CD way to loud and stuffed the poor little 10w speakers in the cruiser. With a x-mas trip planned and five hours of driving I needed to rectify this problem. So I purchased 4 Sony Speakers (see link below).

Within 20 minutes last night I had the front passanger side speaker installed - simple. This evening the two rear ones will go in, I will just need to trim the door about 10mm. The only place that will be a little bit more difficult is the front drivers side speaker as it's buried under the steering column area.

Nevertheless if your speakers on your 80 series are shot to pieces these speakers are almost a perfect fit without doing much modifcations. Will let you know on Monday how the driver side speaker goes. Either way four new speakers with a lot more power for under $100.00 !!!

Now I just need a modifaction to make the missus start listening to some 'real music' :-)
