I am interested in running my 2001 Rodeo on 235/85 R16 tyres to increase ground clearance and gearing. Can someone confirm that they fit (clear the body) and the swap can be done successfully?

Russell, my favourite subject! I run 31x10.5x15 tyres on 15x7 Navara offset Sunraysia style wheels. Countless people (mostly from tyre dealers) told me that they wouldn't fit. No rubbing, no worries. I have been led to believe that 235-85-16 do fit. Checkout www.adventure4wd.com.au These guys run that size on their Rodeo, but they do run different wheels. I also remember reading in a magazine in the letters to the editor, that a guy had them on no worries (apparently). I would be very interested to know for sure. Cheers.
