This is my last post on the subject..Gm have this hour graciously accepted that the chassis failure is now consistent with the recall notice that I yesterday brought to their attention. They will repair and or replace the chassis and have provided me with an alternative means of transport..I can now put the series 1 landie back in the shed where it belongs..
Thanks Guys you have been great..Isuzu owners with vehicles manufactured from 92'-96 download the recall doc and visit your GM DEALER pronto he will be pleased to see you..just don't tell him I sent you..

Congratulations on having a BIG WIN over the Big Boys! It's guys like you that keep the world goin round in a fair way. I have a Jackaroo which was manufactured in 96, but after the recall date, and took it to the Holden dealer here (it got a clean bill of health) They wanted to know how I found out about it and you will be pleased to know I didn't tell em you put me onto it! LOL Once again,
well done Paul and lets hope they really do look after you with the new bits!
Cheers
Andrew

Excellent news.
Isn't the 'net wonderful? Imagine trying to find all this info out without it.
