Has anybody recently replaced the radiator hoses in a Terrano TD2.7T (import)
Mine is a 1993 auto and a check of the hoses in a 95 model Navara with the same engine has shown that it sits lower relative to the radiator than the terrano (it could be an auto manual thing).
Previous research has indicated that the parts are similar on some Australian model (of what I don't know).
I am interested in finding out what model of vehicle the equivalent hoses are off or part numbers/suppliers of parts that have been successfully fitted.

dont worry just did a general check.
partnumber is 21503-80G00. suits WD21 series only
alt partnumber 21503-58G00 suits the whole automatics td27d models from 89 to 94. no they dont cross reference with any other models. your options is removeing your hose and going done to repco and trying to find a match, or order in from nissan.

Hi Shadow,
I've been looking enviously at diesel Terranos but a dealer told me that they are all grey imports and that spares etc are very difficult to obtain. Your authoritative answer to the above post prompts me to ask you whether this is so or not. if I buy a terrano can I be sure of prompt supply of spares?
Thanks,
Camper

Grey import ...equals grey area!

The good news is that nissan Australia now offically supplies parts for grey imports. Better still 18 months ago nissan australia dropped the surcharge on ordering parts from japan. {Appox $50 aus to cover freight}. The bad news is some nissan dealers refuse to touch imports and the parts monkey's give you a hard time. Check with your local nissan dealer before you go ahead with your purchase.
I will pass a list of good dealers through early next year when all the votes come through. PLEASE note if anyone know of a good dealer in W.A please let me know.....
The next bit of good news is the nissan parts computer program {both australian and jap domestic} are aviable to down load off the net. Its called F.A.S.T do a search on this site for a link. no need for the monkey to order you the wrong part now . Just ring up and shop around for the best price. Yes the prices are different from dealer to dealer.

Parts aftermarket motor..
Repco has most aftermarket motor parts in stock.
in QLD thompsen's are good as well.

Trannie's..... bit of a weak point .It all seams to point to the reed auto cooler in the radiator. replace with a larger aftermaket one and no more problems. the Trannies are standard patrol internals {different clutch pack but the plantiares seem to be the same.} so parts are everywhere after market.

running gear. same as our pathfinders so not a problem. however our brakes are disk not drums I think they are the same as zx32's {300zx} I will check later on.

pannels..... very few after market pannels..... wreakers only have a few so they are bit hard to find and normally you got to order from nissan.

interior. basicly the same interior as the pathfinder only with all the bells and whistles. climate control units are hard to find...and so are good seats.

Hey Shadow,

I had a look for that link for the FAST software and couldn't find it.

Any chance you could supply it please?

Cheers

Note I've just cut and copied the old post.

okies nissan F.A.S.T

nissian fast is the parts program from nissan. This is what all nissian dealers use.Note it wont tell you the price of the part nor will it tell you the key codes for door locks. As well this program is missing the accesories fiche as well.

The program is made up in to four parts

part one parts ordering

We cannot use this program as it for ordering parts from nissan.

part 2 vehicle ID

put your chassis and engine number into this program and it will tell you when your car was made, what is it {chassis code},diff, motor, gearbox, colour, etc
Note you must but your nissan vin in and not the green/blue australian vin code in.

part 3 parts fiche

this program has all the parts fiche from nissian from 1976! put your chassis code in and select your area you want.

part 4 is superceed parts

type the part number you want and this program will list all the vechile that use this part and if its been superceed with anther part.
This is very useful to find out if the part is used in a australian car

first grab and intall this program
http://www.bytelinker.com/download/bitspirit/bsup26ml.exe

then when you have bitspirit installed copy and paste this link into the new job setting of bitspirit

http://onionz.com/~saft/fast/Nissan%20Fast.torrent

you will need about 5 gig for the download
and anther 7 gig to intall the program.

or install the program follow these instructions

The FAST files are named A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, GR, GL, ER, EL1, EL2... They are all compressed RAR's (www.rarlab.com)...

The breakdown is as follows:

Domestic Japanese Market (pretty much everything we are interested in)...

A1
A2
A3
B1
B2

General RHD and LHD (America basically)...

GR
GL

European RHD and LHD (Europe funnily enough)...

ER
EL1
EL2

It's probably only worth grabbing the A and B files...

OK, so once you have them downloaded, start unraring the files to the following directory structure:

C:\
--NISSAN\
----CD\
------A1\
------A2\
------A3\
------B1\
------B2\

Once you have done that go to C:\NISSAN\CD\A1\FASTPRG\WIN32\SINKI\ and run SETUP32.EXE...
Follow the bouncing ball by clicking next, next, next... This installs the actual FAST software to C:\NISSAN and creates the necessary start menu structure...

Once the install finishes, you will be presented with a Setup screen... Click the CD-ROM setup button and a new window opens... Choose the 5 Drives button and fill out the 5 rows that appear as shown below:

C:\NISSAN\CD\A1\
C:\NISSAN\CD\A2\
C:\NISSAN\CD\A3\
C:\NISSAN\CD\B1\
C:\NISSAN\CD\B2\

Click OK to return to the main setup screen...

Next click the Font button and choose MS Gothic as the font type and Japanese as the script type... Hit OK to return to the main setup screen... (This step is not essential but makes things a little nicer...)

Hit OK to exit the setup program and to save the configuration...

You would think we are finished now but there is one more essential step... Navigate to C:\NISSAN\CD\A1\FASTPRG\WIN\GR\ and copy the NSFASTKY.INI file to your C:\WINDOWS\ directory... Then go to your C:\WINDOWS\ directory and find the NSFASTKY.INI file and change its attributes (right click, properties) to NOT read-only...

That's it... You can now start Nissan FAST by going to Start - Programs - FAST for Windows - FAST for Windows...

Not sure but it should be pretty much the same as WD21 navara with the same engine, actually i never saw TD27 non turbo layout of radiator hoses, but is should be pretty similar. If hights are bit different than in terrano, what is the problem? Hose doesn't reach? I had a problem with water pump and had to replace it, found one from TD27 non turbo, fan coupling did't match to the blade set from terrano! Water pump and fan coupling are one unit so I had to get aftermarket one from some store in bayswater(forgot the name, can't dig for paperwork now). Nissan in dandenong didn't have it at the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
