LOL, Jim I was just typing you a reply in another post and this follow up came through! :-)
Was it powercrank themselves or a retailer?
I don't know what they are like to deal with for warranty as the batteries are not that old and are still performing ok. In fact I don't even know how long the warranty is.... Might only be 12 months. They were a good option to get me an effective dual battery setup for under $500 and I give them a pretty rough time.
It's a shame that so many companies are so bad when it comes to warranties... I guess there's four main factors I can think of:
1. The companies are potentially greedy.
2. Consumers are always finding more ingenious ways to rip off retailers and manufactuers with flase claims and are always finding new ways to be arrogant and rude about when airing their complaints.
3. Profit margins are no where near where they used to be and competion is fearce and mainly based on price price price.
4. Staff at both the retail and wholesale side of these businesses are either lazy or sick of the high returns of an ever growing cheap market of chinese made products.
I've been on both sides of the fence as a retail store manger, a distributor and a customer. I can tell you one thing, it sucks being any of them.
