What it says to me, is that these things are grossly overpriced to begin with, and it would appear that competition in the marketplace is forcing some importers / distributors to re-consider their obscene profit margins... (JMO, ok?)

Well if there was another one not on sale and twice the price next to it like there was then i would tell me it was crap and get the expensive one. PJD I am asking for people who have experience with one.....not people who assume because its cheap it is no good.

Well said Stu.
Cheap, or on sale, doesn't always equal junk.
Cheers,
Jim.

Seems to be a lot cynics.
I can't understand why it is always assumed that retailers are trying to screw you.
They only sell them, if they are faulty they get returned to the manufacturer/wholesaler for credit/replacement.. So it's no real skin off their nose.

I have one bought thru ebay for $155 + post.. It will inflate a 4wd tyre from 0 - 30psi in about 4 mins.
There is one that looks similar but smaller which just wont do this. I got one off Autobarn on condition that it would meet its claimed performance but within a day I took it back & got a refund as it just would not fill a 4wd tyre to 30psi in anything like its claimed time so beware which you are buying.
I am happy with the one I bought, looks strong & sits on an alloy tray & draws 15-30 amps so it has some grunt it seems.

Brew,
My son has one and when he brought it he paid around $100.00.
When he brought his he didn't have the money to go to a top dollar machine. What I can tell you his has never let him down, however I don't believe it has the output they claim.
On his 80 series recently at Fraser Island we had some really ugly sand to deal with and he was at 15PSI. After we got back to our
camp that night he pumped his tyres back to 25PSI. It took about 8 minutes per tyre to bring it up to 25 from 15.
That's about all the info I can give mate.
Cheers
Brian
