Any one know if the landslip closing the track as quoted below from Parkweb has been cleared. (I know I could ring them but it's midnight Saturday)
From Parkweb page which was last updated 23/11/04 - the page not this particular message:
Quote:
King Billy Track Closure (Alpine National
Park)
The King Billy Track between the Howitt
Carpark and the Macalister River has been closed due to a landslide approximately 1km east of the Macalister River. It is considered extremely hazardous to try to drive around the landslide. Hopefully the landslide can be cleared within the next two weeks.
End quote
I am planning a trip soon and this message has been up
well over two weeks.
Thanks
Dave

Dave, sounds like some planning for your History, Mystery, High Country geocaching weekend eh?
If so, I'm hoping we can attend but won't know until after the Xmas break.

If it is within 1km east, and it is only considered hazardous to try and drive around, I wouldnt be to concerned wether it had been moved or not.
Unless of course they have designated the track as a "road closure" then you wouldnt advertise if you were thinking about it ;-)
