Now that I have the 80 series it is time to dispose of the camper. I advertised it in the Kalgoorlie Miner but no response which was hardly surprising given the time of year - it is hard enough selling stuff in Kal at the best of times. Any way it looks like I will have to get the GPS out and find the co -ordinates for
Perth in the new year (someone said it is East of Kalgoorlie). My question is what is the best way to advertise in
perth, sunday times, quokka, Sat west or any other ideas?I will probably advertise in 2 of these one week and try and arrange some interested people to view the following week

Davoe,
don't forget the trader here across the top. Watch out though for any approaches from overseas where the costs have been discussed already in the past week - fake bank cheque and the costs to find out.

Davoe,
I am here in the 'big smoke' and have used all the above types to sell gear. The quokka is FREE and has a huge audience but people wont travel to buy stuff.
The best paper is the Sunday Times readers mart but costs( they do have good deals now and then).
Hope that can assist.

yea I relize people wont travel I was thinking of the quyokka and sunday times and then (if I get a few calls ) travelling to
perth the next w/end for them to view and hopefully buy. I initially put 13 on it but that was just coz I had to start somewhere and it is extremely neg would make a bargain buy for the right person (some people that want to do their lap of honour but thought they couldnt afford a decent setup) I have spent about 10k on it in the last 4 years and it has just been fully serviced including all fluids and belts and has 11months rego I would have no hesitation on taking it to the kimberlys tomorrow (or wherever)

We sold an FJ40 some years back - put it in the Sunday Times a week before i was due to go the
Perth, just to see what the market was like. Didn't expect anyone to look at it until i got it to
Perth the following weekend when the advert was to appear again. I had found before people don't respond if it is more than ½ hour out of the Metro area. With this 4wd we were surprised that we got heaps of enquiries, and the first one to come and look wanted it (a
young lad who was coming to start a job down our way). Trouble was i still needed to get to
Perth the next weekend. As his Dad who had the $s really wanted to look at it first, it worked out
well - the parents met me as soon as i got to
Perth, agreed, and took it. As it was a weekend, we trusted their personal cheque (he was a Doctor, who had gone to the same school as my husband and seemed trustworthy, and he was). Good luck - I'm sure it will sell if the price is right. You may need to spend more than a weekend if you want them to pay with a bank cheque (these days wise to insist on a bank cheque).

Why not jump on line to the quokka's site Quokka and list it on the net, its free and you may
well have inquires before you get here, then once you know your comming the quokka (paper) and sunday times are your best bet.
Cheers
