Hi All. My 80 Series GXL has your std LPG LED type fuel gauge and i don't find that very accurate. The gauge usally states it full until the
tank is about 1/4 of a
tank full. My question is "can the LPG
tank level sensor be connected to the original aux
tank gauge?" Thanks for your replys =)

Hi
Yes, in my 80 Series the aux
tank guage is the LPG gauge. So, it can be done - how is another question as I bought the vehicle already done.
Cheers

Cool, Do you use the AUX
tank switch to change from ULP to LPG or is there a dedicated switch for that?

I should of asked this Q as
well, "Do you find the AUX
tank gauge accurate?" because i don't want to be wasting my money getting converted. Thanks

I have a rocker switch, that looks like original equipment, to change between LPG and ULP. One side has a "G" and the other half a picture of a petrol bowser. It sits on the right hand side of the steering column, beside the mirror adjustment panel. Looks pretty neat.
The gauge is accurate - much more so than the LED ones that I have previously used. The other way is to fill up with your 90 litres of gas - travel your 300Km and fill up again. (Its not quite that bad, but not far off!).
Cheers

Thanks Pelican. I too have been using the amount of travel per
tank. I get around the 300+ km mark.

Without wanting to be a smart ass, but almost any
tank gauge is inaccurate. I like to call it "character". Best (and cheapest) thing to do is to note the mileage you get with a
tank full, and keep track of the km travelled. You will then also soon get the hang of the LCD gauge and will be able to read it relatively accurately. I just set the trip km to zero with every
tank I fill. Another bonus of keeping track of consumption is that you will know if something is wrong with the engine.
My 2 cents worth.

Sounds like my standard Rodeo gauge. It reads dead empty but the fuel light hasn't come on yet. You get another 50kms around town easy.
