I used to own a 99 Pathfinder that at it's very best returned 10/100 highway cycle being nursed along at 80 to 85 km per hour. The worst was something like 18/100 when pushed. The average was more like 14/100.
In the Redbook site on new cars they have claimed 10/100 highway and 13.5/100 around town.
This was a very nice vehicle to drive and very capable off road for what I do. However the fuel consumption was not what I expected. If Nissan have fixed the fuel consumption I would seriously look at the Pathfinder again in the future.
Anyone got a new Pathfinder that they know the fuel figures on? Please.
Merry Christmas to all.

Hey Starky,
I had the 98 model. The one just before the 'auto' 4x4 mode dialler. It was the same. Average 14-15 ltrs/100 km
The motor, although good, is old technology. I understand that the current model is the same.
They're bringin out a new model soon. Might pay you to wait and see what it's like. Will have deisel model available. Most likely the 3.0 L TD that's in the Patrol.
Check it out...
2005 Pathfinder
We traded the Pathfinder for the 3.0L TD Patrol at the begining of the year. Uses 11L/100K.
Got rid of the Pathfinder cause I kept gettin it into situations where opposing front and rear
wheels lost traction cause of limited
suspension travel. A real pain. Upgrage options were all but non-existant.
Cheers

Scrubba.
If the 3.0lt D is available in the future it could be a good vehicle. Thanks for your answer.
