Gday
To be honest if the etrex has built in base maps then really you dont need mapsource, Oziexplorer is perfect to use. I had a etrex and the mapsource details etc is no different to the base maps. you should be able to update firmware from the garman site, that has the built in base map if the etrex has no mapping

The basemap is similar to MapSource WorldMap.
MapSource Metroguide Australia has street level detail which is significantly greater than the basemap.

The basemap and WorldMap are very similar.
MetroGuide has a huge amount more street level data.
MetroGuide uses an unlock code.

Hi,
Thanks for the info everyone.
Have looked a bit further and Johnny Appleseed and GPS OZ are both about the best on price around. I am chasing the Mapsource Metroguide for Australia.
All the best for the New Year.
Cheers
