Just got back, had an absolute blast, There wasn't a lot of 4wd's out there, just enough to help recover both of our vehicals when we had to go close to the water and sunk, with the tide moving in quick and sweat pouring of our foreheads from shuveling, a big convey of very kind 4wders came over the sand dunes....."Thank christ" we said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apart from that little lapse in judgement, we had an absolute ball!!

We never sore the buggy club, but we did find a really wide dune just west of Beechport that looked like the one I've seen in the pictures when people have spoken of the dune buggy club. What ever the case we found heaps of stuff to keep us amused.

Good buggy club site near Portland too Bruce with camping facilities but need to book ahead at many times.

I haven't seen the buggy club at Beachport or Robe either.

Stuart the beach is a real trap despite Eric saying he can drive all over it. Those tiny shells seem bottomless and a real trouble.

John, "the beach is a real trap despite Eric saying he can drive all over it. Those tiny shells seem bottomless and a real trouble." Is that true? I didn't encounter too many problems. I thought you may have forgotten all about it by now. LOL

Happy New Year Bro and Des(Uncle Donut) and your good ladies too.

I came close to your place yesterday Des and gave you a tinkle on ph but you were obviously down by the river sunning yourself :o)

We are going to a party out in the bush tonight and the catch phrase is to watch the sun rise but most of us are Seniors so I doubt it very much...hahahahaha....after midnight I usually turn into an even bigger pumpkin

Des, I didn't encounter too many problems following Wise Willie either but following Erics' mountain climber was a not so easy when the going got soft. Wern't you fortunate Des you had not got as far as me and I had compacted it for you.

Bro Willie, I see you are trying to get the pumpkin deflated. I have already started and a loong way to go yet. The Nissan loads will be lighter then....... Will need a winch on the front to counter and some Lightforce too

Most certain for you two guys, to Elaine and Judith a happy and prosperous New Year.

G'day Willie, I couldn't take your call when you rang but I rang back soon after. Pity you turned the phone off so quickly as I figured you were in the area and I had the donuts ready.
Best wishes to you and Jude for the new year.
