Your own garage with $100 worth of supercrap tools. They'll pay for themselves in the first service! :-P

What suburb?
Are you needing warranty servicing?

Hi mate - thanks for initial response.

What suburb? will travel anywhere in Perth for GOOD service (but central is easiest)
Are you needing warranty servicing? currently due for 90k service - ie warranty is current until 100k, or April: timed that pretty well didn't I? :)
so advice on post warranty would be valuable too - though some comments on Forum suggest I should seek extended warranty too!

If your bus is computer controled (I don't know much about jacks) and you want someone with all the electronics gear then I would stick with a holden dealer, or ultratune recon they have all the right gear but I'm not convinced about them having good mechanics.

Several years ago I worked in Cannington and had a few dealings with J & K Auto's,
9458 5970 (not far from brian gardiner holden). Very professional, thorough and honest, which, when you find this in a mechanic, you remember. However, from memory he's not the cheapest!

I now work in Myaree and we get all our vehicles serviced at Mikes Auto Repairs.
9330 1274. He's a no fuss honest bloke who's good with diesels and 4x4's.

Robson Brothers 4x4 in Bentley pride themselves on doing anything and everything to do with 4x4's. Conversions, servicing, trip preparation, electrical installations, long range fuel tanks etc; But you will pay a premium for the privelige.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muzz

If you are into some servicing at home, you can save squillions on the dealers pricing by doing all the fluids and filters yourself - just find an expert to do the hard bits - that's my plan. If you are not into crawling about under cars, well ..........

Stuart I was serious about doing it yourself, I have a 3.0TD surf with all the EFI and electronic crap. I do most of the work to it myself with very little problems and a 5000k service will only take you an hour or so on a Saturday morning before the missus even get's out of bed!

If not there is a place in Wangara called T&T Autos, hes a very busy bloke now but is very good and very reasonable prices.

was most surprised when then gave me the keys and said happy motoring.
i went home very happy. so its gibbons for me.

Gooday, I have a 200TD jack. I do all my oil changes (engine gearbox, transfer, diffs) at home. For serious stuff I go straight to Uniter Fuel Injection in Redcliff. City Motors sends alot of Jackaroos there. My makes GUII TD buggered a manifold absolute pressure sensor and after the Nissian dealership could'nt find the problem it was sent to United and it was put on the dyno and engine diagnosis. They found the problem very quickly! (it dynoed at 30 kw). The GU did 109 kw whereas my jack did 98kw and 303 NM. Off the lights where dead equal though.
I think they do gerneral servicing as well but they specialise in turbochargers and fuel injection. Give it a look!
