It must be nearly 20 years since we "did" Cape York. What is the main track like these days? I have heard stories about a bridge over the Wenlock. Is it true? Without diversions, what is the average time from Cooktown to the Cape? Thanks Jim

Jim Yes unfortunately it is true there is now a concete bridge across the Wenlock.I think it went in in 2001. We did the Cape in 2000.Without diversions from cooktown to the top on the "main drag" two days or if you are very keen one very big day.But why would you ,one week will keep you relaxed and see the main sights. Be a bit more traffic then twenty years ago hope you won't be dissapointed .
Happy travels Glen
