Quick snip of the story...
"It all started one night early this week when some friends of the owner of the
grey Toyota LandCruiser trayback bogged it while out fishing...."
"A 20-tonne excavator comes to the rescue. "

Had a similar event in
Dampier (WA) when I was working there building levee banks for salt evaporation ponds.
Local cop thought he'd take a 'shortcut' across the salt flat in his 4 x 4. Naturally he sinks in. Contractor heads out in HZJ75. Goes in too. Radio's for the little D4 dozer. Goes OK for a while then sinks in the mushy stuff near the edge. In comes a Cat 245 excavator.....got some photographic "evidence" somewhere, have to find 'em.
A few people got "slabbed" that day.
