Came across this great kid's book called "Are we there yet?". It's about a family that sets out on a trip around Australia with a campervan. I would say it is targeted at the under 5's but it's a great read for grand dads too.(I think anyway). It's written by Alison Lester and the ISBN is 0-670-88067-1.

Skinny,
It's mainly pictures with a very simple story line of where they are and where they are going. Very easy reading for an older child. They even hung up a map for grandma so she could follow their journey.

Yeah whats with that "Are we there yet" stuff?
Like, do the kids get taught to say that stuff at school, or is it a natural instinct they are born with?
I reckon we should get the experts to see if they can try and breed that gene out of the human race..........hmmm, actually there are a few other genes I wouild prolly want bred out first i guess.

We LOVE this book. Santa bought it for our 6 year old. He thinks its great we have read it most nights since xmas. We are in the middle of preparing for a four month trip to the Kimberly from
Canberra. The kids love to read all about what we will be doing. Sarah is 5 and Jack is 6 and it helps them to understand what a long road trip will be like. Excellent Excellent!! Highly recomended. Great read.
