Oil grade for nissan tb42t

Hi, what grade oil do you use for your tubo GU nissan diesels??? ie 15-40 or 20-40 etc.

The best option is to use genuine Nissan oil 15-40 CF4 standard. made for Nissan by Shell I think.

There was quite a lot about oil type on the yahoo forum for patrols, and many modern oils are not suitable for the patrol. In short, the patrol needs a calcium based detergent (>3000ppm) and there are not that many oils that meet this.

Castrol JMax does, and i use this ($80 for a 20L drum)

Caltex Delo CXJ also does (but not the normal Delo range)

There are a few others, but cant recall them
