The Patrol's just gone over the 100,000. Wondering if anyone can give an idea of expected cost, and anything extra that should be checked at this service.

Haven't had sevicing done by a dealer since the 1000km service 25 months ago. Normally take it to the same mechanic in Brisbane, but am working in Mount Isa at the moment and have booked it in to the local Nissan dealer.

Not prepared to wait till I get home as it's had a hard run to Tassie and all the way up here in seven weeks. Gave it a quick oil and filter change along the way.

Probably phrased it wrong, but I know what is listed in the service manual, but what wondering what extra items people might recommend getting done.

Andrew,

I think you'll find that every 40,000k is the big service where tappets are adjusted and wheel bearings regreased + gear oils replaced etc etc, so if you've had that done at 80,000 you should be right untill 120,000, so the 100,000 is just a rutine 5 or 10,000 k service.
Thats how my mechanic does my 4.2 diesel anyway.

Stand to be corrected but I don't think the 3.0Di needs tappets adjusted or a 5K for that matter..

The GU manual suggests replacing all the transmission oils for the first time at 100,000. Guess your dealer would have done it then.
Costs of major services (each 40k) vary wildly; one 40k service cost me $700 from a Nissan dealer, another identical one cost me $1100 (!!!) from another dealer. S&P have dropped my credit rating now to B-. Shop around or at least find out what they are gonna charge you.
