I am looking for a course that involves theoretical/practical certificated 4x4 service maintenance for 4x4 vehicle. Does anyone know if such a course is available?

Check out your local TAFE college, the one near me runs all sorts of automotive courses, don't know about a certified 4WD course, have a look.

nothing beats hanging with your local garage / mechanic on say saturday mornings.
Make his coffee, sweep his floor, clean his stuff, then progress into oil changes, plug changes, you know the drill.......
You will lose a lot of saturday mornings, but will learn REAL mechanical stuff.
My local mechanic has apprenticed ALL of his lads this way, they appreciate some help & willingness.
Could be worth a try if you can spare regular time for him, which is what you are going to have to do if you attend a certified course.
You may not work on a lot of 4x4's, but principles are similar, and you are on your way.
