I tried to download the "Trial Version", they wanted my credit card details upfront. Started going through the process and then get a box saying, "download now" and "a credit card invoice will be sent to your nominated email addy" I went back through the process making sure I selected the "Trial" and the same happened. At this point I bailed...

You don't have to pay for Real Player but I strongly advise against using it anyway. It is the most intrusive little bloody program going around. It sneaks into your registry without permission and just about everywhere else it can.
Real Player is a bit of a joke really.
You can download a free converter to convert the real player file to a .mpg etc.

I refuse to use programs that don't ask permission to add to start-up and registry. It is rude programming and borderline spyware. If you run Zonealarm when realplayer is running you would be amazed how many times it contacts
home to send all sorts of info .. Who know wtf it is sending...
Everybody I chat too online in other forums have a strict no RP rule !!
