During a trip next year we will be travelling from
Karumba to
Cape York. We would like to avoid going through
Cairns or the Tablelands. Can any one tell me what the Burke Developmental Rd is like heading north east from
Karumba? My map shows a track that continues straight ahead off the Burke Dev Rd and comes out about 20km south of Musgrave Station. Can any one tell me if it is OK to use?

THE TRACK FROM THE BURKE DEV RD TO MUSGRAVE WAS PRETTY GOOD JULY 2002. DUSTY & GATES.
CAMP AT
MITCHELL RIVER ,THIS IS A SOFT SANDY CROSSING CAN BE DEEP.
CHECK WITH OTHER TRAVELERS COMING SOUTH. I FIND THIS THE BEST WAY TO FIND OUT UP TO DATE ROAD CONDITIONS WHILE EXPLOREING THE CAPE. HAVE FUN
