I own a 2000 Prado TX and am extremely happy with it. It has 30000kms on the clock and has already blown a turbo gasket and leaked oil through the intercooler, it has been serviced to the letter and I was wondering if any other owners have had this problem. Tony

Tony
I haven't heard of this one on the Prado site but you could be worth your while asking.

I have a 2001 TX with about 25,000k on the clock and so far no drama's, i am very happy the the engine drivetrain etc. It has some other design flaws around efficient use of space and creature comforts but otherwise I am very happy with it. I hope your experience is an isolated case and that Toyota have fixed it for you.

Yes it has all been fixed by Toyota, but I was more curious if it was a one off or not, as it appears that it is a one off there is no reason for concern. Other than this one problem it is a 4wd that I believe is close to faultless. I was just unlucky I guess.
