Hi all,

Has anyone tried to or know of a way to install a second battery under the bonnet of a 2004 RA Rodeo V6 fitted with ABS brakes. TJM have a system but not for ABS.

hi have not seen the 2004 v6.but I have amid 2002 3.0lt diesel.for that I was told
the second batt would have to go in the back.but then I spoke to someone at
one of the shows who said you can replumb the air con pipes and it will fit at the
back right hand side as you look at the engine.Dont know if this helps.
cheers brian

Thanks Brian. My understanding is the second battery is fitted where the ABS is fitted so either one has to go. Hence you are right, it will more than likely end up in the back

Does the back seat on the RA have a space behind the back of the seat and a shelf? On the old model this was the case and I ended up mounting one there. The cables ran from the engine bay along the chasis and up through a hole where you got access to a bodymount bolt. Worth looking at.

Leroy,

Wish there was space. It's a duel cab. Flat out putting a piece of rag back there.

There was bugger all in mine and the best way to get access was to take the seat out!

Still don't think there is enough room as the seat base is nearly to the back of the cab.
