Evening all, Has anyone used or have any info on the Waeco CK-40 fridge, it is a 240volt only fridge, and i am thinking of running one of my inverter in the cab with us. Just want to know will they pull down the temp without the need of cold stuff being put in them first. I have an Autofridge in the ute back, but wouldn't mind running that as a freezer.. Any feedback would be appreciated.

gday Glenn,

I had a mate you tried to run his waeco of the inverter, blew the inverter up, apart from knowing that, I dont really know if any particular inverter is suitable.

Did the same thing trying to run a waeco off a car inverter- It worked for the best part of 2 seconds, now it doesnt stop beeping even unloaded.

If its 240V, then I assume the current draw is meant for 240V mains- If you are intent on running it off the inverter then make sure you check the numbers- you might never get enough power to fire up the condensor.
