Hi All

I'm trying to setup Ozi CE with a Holux CF GPS on my Ipaq 2210. I've got all the maps I want loaded but how on earth do you setup the GPS? I've tried running the driver disk that came with it but it seems that has just a testing utility (which works fine). I've tried going into configuration and NMEA but there is nothing I can see that needs changing. There is another program called OziCEGPS which looks like it's for configuring the port etc but that only has an option of Garmin, Lowrance and Magellan GPSsss.

Can anyone help??? PLLLEEEAAASSEE???

When you plug the Holux in to the iPaq it will automatically create a new serial port... com7.

Set up OziCe to communicate with the GPS on Com 7 by going to the:
File->Configuration->NMEA (GPS) menu.
Make sure that the GPS is inserted in the iPaq BEFORE you select this menu.
Choose COM7 from the Communication Port drop down menu, Set the baud to 4800, the Sentance to GPRMC and the GPS NMEA Output Datum to WGS 84.

Click OK and start the GPS by clicking the GPS button in the botttom bar.

Everything should work now.

Hi
Thanks for that info, I think the problem is that I have an older version 1.09. Which doesn't have the option to change the port in that area.

Do you know if I can download updates?

Hi Spook,

You can download updates of OziExplorer for the lifetime of the product from the OziExplorer website.

Regards,
Juliana.
