I have tried all the alternatives, then found the "proper" stuff at k-mart, but any auto accessory place should have it, all the other stuff failed the proper stuff works, just ask for the adhesive to re-attach rear view mirrors.

G'day Brad,
I have re-attached several of these glass-mounted r/v mirrors over the years...
Always used Araldite (the full-strength variety, not the 5-minute stuff), and have NEVER had to do one a 2nd time....

The most important thing is, both mating surfaces need to be *squeaky clean*...
Make sure you remove ALL residue of previous adhesive used (you may need to use a scraper)...
After said residue is removed, alcohol wipes work good on the glass, & I give the mirror mounting thingy a good rub on a sanding block... Apply a thin coating of Araldite to the little mounting block thingy (don't need much), & tape it in position w/- masking tape.. leave it to "cure" for a couple of days before re-attaching mirror... Works for me every time;-)

Regards, Ed. C.

Cheers,
