We are travelling to WA in March/April and wish to locate an experienced guide to take us through Weano and Handrail Pool etc in Karijini NP. We have tried several companies but noone can help us as yet. We would be willing to pay for an experienced local to take us through. The dates we are looking at are March 31st or April 1st. If anyone can help or direct us to someone who can we'd love to hear form you. Thanks, Happy Travels

Hi Kaz and Dale, We are really excited about the trip. We are travelling with 4 other families all with children ranging from 11 to 15, no better education than on the track and I'm a teacher. I'll try these two phone numbers tomorrow thanks but if I have no luck and seeing as you are local do you have any friends who are familiar with the miracle mile and confident to take people through who want to earn a bit of money or is the insurance an issue. i know there has been a clamp down due to the deaths and accidents this year. Thanks Carreen

Hi Kaz and Dale I tried the Karijini Day tours number that you posted and it's been disconnected. Do you have another contact for them? I've tried Lestok tours but they haven't got back to me as such. Someone else spoke of 'Spiderman Dave at Wittenoom and the Auski Roadhouse. Where is the Auski Roadhouse and do you have a contact number for it please. Thanks for your help Carreen

Spiderman Dave- Highly recommended

He lives in wittenoom, has a 4wd patrol converted to a troop carrier from memory.
If you can get in touch with the gem shop at wittenoom they can fix you up with the details.... then again their nearest phone is a kilometer out of town or something because telstra refuses to go there.

Might be best off asking the Auski roadhouse about him. He has been in operation for years, and is a font of knowledege about the area.

Dingo tours in Hedland have guided tours through Karijini, the bloke that runs the tours is as straight as a dye I'm told.
Met him at the Auski roadhouse one night a couple of years ago and got talking while we had our dinner. There have been writeups in the paper about his tours.
Hope this helps. It really is a great part of Oz

Why not just ring the Karijini tourist centre.

We were there in 2003 and loved it. Awesome.
