Re Trucksters post 20189 about Patrol Y61 manuals online......

If you don't mind the drivers wheel on the Left Hand side and the transfer case on the opposite side to the GU....its sweet.

The manual is for a GR (European / Israle ) model not GU for Australia.

$16.95........can't complain as the add says its for a Y61.....doesn't stipulate GR or GU. Should still be usefull for the mechanical and general wiring as I don't expect they would differ that much, time will tell though.

Bought one as well and just want to add that Manual_N_More delivered my order in about a day. Haven't looked at the contents (yet) but they are professional in delivering the goods purchased.

Kind regards

Hugh,

It seems to cover 2.8 thur to 4.2 diesels and the 4.5 and 4.8 petrols

It contains the

First Editon 1998
Supplement 1 2000 (First introduction of ZD30 engine)
Supplement II Sept 2001 ( ERG Cooler for ZD30)
suplement III Nov 2002 (Petrol and Diesel interior and exterior changes)
Suplement 4 July 2004 (Changed gear ratio for increased power of ZD30)

It does talk about RHD and LHD vechiles but for the European market. Looks like for the increase in power output they have changed the gearing ratio for 1st to 3rd

Previously
4.556
2.625
1.591

Now
4.262
2.456
1.458

and 5th has also changed

Previously 0.836
Now 0.851

It does make mention of VIN's with 2005 models too.

The more I look into the CD the more impressed I am, goes into details of Timing Chain replacments, good blow apart diagrams, eg Removal & Install of Intake Manifold some may not printout too well on A4...so I'll print then out on A3 when required.

Can't complain as its ableepload better than the Gregoys 519 I currently ownand it cost me double the price of the CD....

IMHO worth the $16.50 even if I never use it, at least I now know how it all fits together.

It does not cover the 4.2 diesel (any variant), as stated it is for the European market GR and they do not have the 4.2diesel.

It does not support australian VIN numbers either, but as mentioned it is good value still as it covers everything but the TD42 engine

Hi Paul,

Yes, question answered. I have a 2.8 so it would seem this is covered.

Hugh
