waeco have these on special at A-mart all Sports at the moment for $649 including insulated cover and 240v power converter/inverter.
anyone got one/ or heard how they go on 12volt. i'm thinking of getting one and designate it as the 'beer fridge' when i go camping?
any comments would be appreciated!

Sounds like a reasonable deal. I got mine with the insulation but without the converter for $595.

It seems to work well, though a rough road has cracked the plastic case under the compressor. I'll have to be careful how I situate it in the back of the truck.

Will work great as a beer fridge.

I have the ccf-35 same as cdf-35 just older its done about 1.4 million kms bouncing all over the truck and its been on plently of corrigated roads did have one prob when i first brought it but that was rectified and it hasnt missed a beat since had it for 5 and something years now.My buddy got the same model about 5 weeks after i got mine his has done more work and he is pretty rough with his gear went for 3 years befor anything went wrong and it was just a loose wire. Both have had warped lids but i just stuck mine in sun for a while and then stood on it no worries jobs done. All in all good units bloody reliable stuff .

I've had an FF-30 since Waeco arrived in australia. Has never missed a beat. And when cans inside the fridge regularly rupture down bumby roads but the fridge still motors on you know they built something right. Just wish it had handles to tie it down.
