Today has just become M.F.D. (Mortgage Free Day) for me. Just made the last payment. So now the interest rates can sky rocket.

I had that feeling in 96 when i was just 27, but late 03 i thought bugger it, living in equity, might as well get some money, so mortgaged again, i cant wait till M.F.D again. Good on you Rod, but i hope the rates dont sky rocket....

Cheers Paul..

So now you have more money to spend on camping gear, car parts and other boys toys. Go for it.

Yep this is true. Having a wack or one's wage being gobbled up each fortnight make's one a bit frugal... but I’m sure I could change.

It feels great. Went through the same about 6 years ago and then this funny feeling took over and we have now purchased a couple of investment places.
It just did NOT feel right having all that money to spend.
