As a contented ['99'] Jack owner, and one who has a number of times been suprised at the car's off road capability, I would however never in a fit with apologies to other Jack owners, most of whom would I'm sure be much more off road experienced than I am, say that the Jack could cut the real heavy off road stuff alongside the Cruiser or the Patrol & perhaps some others.
However, if the new v6 Holden Adventra can go the distance beside the Jack in serious off roading then someone is suffering serious delusions.
In today's Herald-Sun Cars Guide p. 36, Paul Gover in a test report on the v6 Adventra says " The Adventras flew through all sorts of off road exercises, from an impressivestability-control demonstration - v6 only of course - to a climb that would have sent many Landcruisers packing. "
Anyone see it ? Is this bloke for real ?
Cheers
Pete

ROTFLMAO
The press is full of this kinda rubbish. I feel sorry for the ones who know very little about 4x4 and use these reports as a guide.

I reckon youse eastern staters read too much of this Herold Sun thingo , if their not running poles on banning bullbars they are giving the anti 4wd lobby too much print and now that dribble. perhaps I should get some of my own back and start some sorta "no gay mardi gras" campaighn her in the Kal Miner - perhaps that would get the rest of the Herold Sun readers something better to winge about

When all the real 4x4 test tests were done , they actually gave up with the Adventra. What a pile of Cr@p. Do they also mention there are more people lined up to hand them back than people willing to buy them ? The only thing they can beat Toyota and Nissan at is fuel consumption

as a rock climbing ,ball brakin all terrain 4wd the adventra is probably not much good, but the awd adventra is great for towing and they are more comfortable and easier to access than a real 4wd albeit the v8 is thirsty, but no more so than a big 4wd,if u buy one u need to realise it has limitations, and can not be compared to h/duty 4wd's

Don't be so harsh Eric. I reckon the Adventra would beat a Landcruiser hands down on the 1/4 mile LOL. Thats two things now.
