Howdy All ,
My mate and I are off to the Eden / Malacoota area for a bit of estuary /
lake fishing . Does anybody know of any good campsites on rivers or lakes in that coastal area ?? We would rather go bush than to a commercial camping ground .
We have a Trak Shak with a tinnie on top .
After that , we are going inland to McKillops crossing , then up through Suggan Buggan to
Jindabyne to catch some trout .Any good spots in these areas ?
Thanks ,
Willie .

Hi Willie,
Our family is planning a trip that way next Christmas. Just been reading up on the area.
I'm pretty impressed with what I've read about the Wadbilliga NP. There's a couple of campsites there,
The Cascades and The
Lake Creek. It's just inland from Bermagui, so you may be looking to go further south though. Never been there though.
The NP is amongst the Tuross, Wadbilliga and Brogo rivers. There's also RIVER CROSSINGS if that "floats your boat" so to speak. Fishing should be good around there if you're into freshwater stuff.
I can send you more info if you're interested. Send me a MM if you want more.
Hope you have a great time and would love to hear some
feedback that might be useful for when we head down at Chrissy.
Cheers,
Jason.

No
Bush camping at
Mallacoota as it is a National Park. Can
camp in the bush NW of
Genoa at a place called Wargrabell. Great waterfalls and fresh water swimming. Beach fishing at Wonboyn is good. Eden open sea boat access is great just watch the SW change and swell.
Mallacoota off shore boating is great as long as you dont mind getting your car into the salt water about 1 metre deep. Other wise forget off shore and stay in the
lake.
Lake fish stocks were depleted at Chrismas due to the amount of tourists and the health of the
lake ( the sea exit for the water was shut for almost 1 year and teh fish health deteriorated). Have fun
