Hi all. I'm planning a trip to
Broome and surrounding regions for later this year and am wondering if anyone knows about secure
parking for a van for a couple of weeks in the
Broome or
Derby areas.
I intend to leave it locked somewhere safe if possible and travel the
Gibb River Road etc. using a tent for camping on the way.
Any advice on this would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Alan.

Broome is really crowded from June to August inclusive.
If you haven't booked into a park you might have trouble if you just
rock up.
The PCYC in
Broome might be able to put you onto a place to store your van as they run an overflow park in Scott street just around the corner from the
Roebuck Bay Caravan Park in old
Broome, lovely spot.
The Roebuck roadhouse is about 30 k's east of
Broome at the highway
T junction,
they might store vans there.
Best of luck.

G'day Alan,
might also be worth giving Willare Roadhouse a call I reckon.
(08) 9191 4775 I think.

Alan
Another option might to ring the Shire of
Derby-West
Kimberley on 08-9191 0999 and ask them if they can refer you to someone in the Light Industrial Area who has a secure yard suitable for
parking your van for a few days.
Enjoy the GRR

Thanks everybody, I'll give all your ideas a go.......
30mins later I have good news and there is secure storage, surrounded by fences, dogs patrolling and a living on site caretaker/worker.
Bookings are essential, as according to the owner they're "as full as a fat ladies socks" at that time of year!
Only $35 per week which is great.
Thanks again.
Alan.
