Hi all.
As some of you might have seen we are selling our third row seats from our patrol in the trader section. Tonight I get this email request and I'm a bit puzzled by it. Maybe it's fairdinkun, I don't know, but if you wanted to buy them wouldn't you just buy them of this site......................Maybe I am missing something!

This is the message I received:

Hi, can you sell it at xxxxxx.com.au ? I want to get some score by buying from there.
They have massive 4wd categories. I was very surprised when i firstly look at them. Regards, Paul Anderson

What do you all think???????????????

Yep, just got one of those emails as well - word for word the same. Ignore it, he obviously is trying to get his site up and running. Looks a lot like eBay doesn't it??? Anyway, I told him thanks but no thanks. He is not interested in your seats, just as he wasn't interested in my Big Haul hand winch. I hate these kind of underhanded, mis-represented type of approaches :(

Mo worries, you have also confirmed my concerns. I was going to forward it to David but as you now are I won't bother this time. ood luck with the seat sale though.

BTW, if you do a search on his site for '4wd' it only comes back with 3 items, all manuals Not really a lot of 4wd related stuff as first claimed

Thanks for the alert - He is even using a hotmail account to send his email. I will add it to the ban list.

I wonder if everyone who has got something in the trader section got the same email we have got? It would be interesting. Can you track him down David to see where he is from?

Everyone got it - We have had to start to maitain copies of all trader emails to attempt to catch the scamers. I have removed the account however it was a hotmail account so they could just come back and do it again. We do try to keep on top of this stuff - it is a real pain and a waste of time for all concerned. Again thanks for the direct emails this is what made me look.

Thanks for your reply cokeaddict. I just emailed David and asked if he can remove the website address from my original post. That way the idiot isnt getting free advertising for his website address and everyone who reads the post wont know his website. I hope David can go into my post and delete the address.
Thanks

How about we all go into the site, advertise stuff that doesn't exist, clog up the site with non-existant goods and see how his site goes then. I have a brand new 18 volt 45L Jarvis Walker 5 way fridge in average condition currently for sale for $100 if anyone is interested.
