Just gathering bits and pieces to wire up accessories into another vehicle. Got most of what I need but for one item, being some black plastic sheath. I am not looking for plastic cable wrap but rather a thin black plastic tubing about a 1/4" or 3/8" in diameter. It is the same as used on the ARB driving light loom and looks a bit like heat shrink. Does anyone have any ideas where to source this....I've had no luck so far! Thanks in anticipation. Cheers

Maybe a long shot but perhaps you may be able to source some from a hobby store or maybe even spotlight may have sometning like that.My wife thought a scrapbooking place.
As a sparkie we sometimes need green tubing for bare earthwires and those
places have helped me out in the past.

Hello Luxoluk,
Go to YellowPages and search for, Bambach Wires & Cables Pty Ltd
See if there is an outlet somewhere near where you live.
They specialise in all sorts of unusual cabling, insulation etc.
Geoff.

Hows it going,
Dont know if you have these stores ,or what state you are in but you should be able to get all sizes of heat-shrink tube from electronics stores like Dick Smith or Jaycar

My ARB loom has the standard 10mm split corrugated tubing that available from most auto shops.
Heatshrink is available in long lengths from Jaycar Electronics (they also sell the split corrugated stuff in 13mm I think).

Many thanks guys for your hints. I have found some at Jaycar..called "Spaghetti Tubing." I will have a look at it tomorrow and if not suitable will do the rounds as kindly suggested. I can cross off the local DS, hardware and hobby store so far. Thanks again and cheers

Hey Lux,
Try JR Turks. Not sure what you are describing, but there is a kind of fibre glass tubing/sheath that you can use for insulating wires. It's near the heat shrink tubes.
Cheers.

So you want heat shrink type tubing without the shrink properties. Why not use heat shrink but don't apply heat.
Spaghetti is different Leigh. Used to use it in electronic construction projects for insulation.....nothing like heat shrink....thicker and stronger
